02 / THE STORY BEHIND THE RECORDS
IT RUNS
IN THE GROOVES.
Before Dead End Records, there was Rhythm Records.
Back in the 1980s, my father owned a record business in Brooklyn, New York, called Rhythm Records. Music wasn't just something he listened to. It was something he knew inside and out.
Our family moved to Las Vegas in the 1990s. I was born in the early ’90s, and growing up around my father meant growing up around records. His knowledge of music, his ear for sound, and his love of vinyl naturally became part of my world, too.
What started as time spent listening and learning grew into a lifelong passion. Today, I'm carrying a piece of that history forward with Dead End Records, a really small startup with only a few employees focused on doo wop and Motown style vocal vinyl, audio equipment, buying and selling records, and caring for the records we love.
Different decade. Different city. Same love for the music.
